Blind Pirate Trading Co. makes tallow skincare by hand, in small batches, in rural South Carolina. Every bar starts with grass-fed tallow, a fat that has protected working hands for centuries, and organic oils: extra virgin coconut oil and cold-pressed castor oil, never heated, so they keep more of what’s good for your skin. Most of our bars add organic coconut milk for a creamy, silky lather.

The scent comes from pure essential oils, steam-distilled or cold-pressed, and certified organic wherever available. The color comes from plant powders and natural clays. Never synthetic fragrance. Never dyes.

Then we wait. Every bar cures a minimum of eight weeks before it leaves our hands. That patience is what gives you a hard, long-lasting bar and a lather that feels like silk.

Every Captain’s Bar is Brailled by hand by our co-founder, Dolton, who is blind. And anyone who needs Braille on the rest of their order gets it free: just email us. This is temporary, until our Braille box is installed in our cart.
